Hi there. Have you found that after years of being ‘mature’ beyond your years and always following the path to ‘success,’ you’re now craving more ease in your life and deeper connections in your relationships? Maybe since discovering you’re an HSP, many things finally make sense, yet you’re unsure how to build a life that honors your limits, embraces your gifts, and provides the deep emotional and intellectual connection that you long for.
I specialize in working with ambitious, sensitive adults who are increasingly disillusioned with what they’re ‘supposed’ to want and are becoming more curious about living a life that truly aligns with their needs for genuine well-being.
I blend somatic therapy, attachment-focused work, and IFS (parts work) to help my clients honor their nervous systems, lean into their craving for depth and connection, find ‘their people,’ and cultivate self-compassion and care where there’s been decades of inner criticism and over-working.

Hello sensitive soul. I learned late in life that I’m highly sensitive, and it’s helped me better understand myself, and my clients. Many of whom are also highly sensitive.
Being highly sensitive has led me to learn about and use gentle modes of therapy. Internal family Systems, attachment work, and self-compassion work give you the time and space to process, heal, and build a kind caring relationship with yourself.
I’m licensed to practice therapy in Maryland and Delaware, and I currently have openings.
If you live elsewhere, I also provide soul support for highly sensitive women all over the world.
Please reach out if you’d like to know more about working with me.
Jessica Magenheimer, LMFT

I specialize in working with Highly Sensitive People and recovering perfectionists & people-pleasers. I love helping HSPs address anxiety and relationship difficulties, set healthy boundaries, increase self-compassion and see their sensitivity as their superpower! I’m a certified Brainspotting therapist and also incorporate the modalities of DBT, ACT and narrative therapy. I’m an HSP, as well.

I focus on helping women who feel they are highly sensitive, empathic, or introverted. Some of the more common issues my clients experience are: constant worry/always thinking the worst, having a harsh inner critic, feeling like they are not “enough”, perfectionism, being easily distracted/forgetful, second guessing themselves, getting easily overwhelmed/overstimulated, procrastination, unhealthy/toxic relationships (romantic, friendships, work, family). I specialize in working with women who experienced challenging childhoods, have been affected by a narcissist, or feel they are codependent.
Most of my sessions include CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy – change your thoughts, change your beliefs/actions) and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing). Together we will make a plan to determine what issues you would like to focus on, what things you would like help in changing, and what you would like life to look like after therapy. We will use your strengths to overcome your challenges!

As a fellow highly sensitive person (HSP) and a highly sensitive therapist (HST) with over 20 years of experience, I offer a compassionate, thoughtful and interactive approach to therapy. My focus is on adult clients coping with anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, low self-esteem, ADHD, life transitions as well as clients navigating issues associated with being part of the LGBTQIA2S+ community.
Because we HSPs are wired differently, day-to-day interactions with family, partners, friends, co-workers – you name it – can leave us feeling exhausted, unfulfilled, avoidant and misunderstood. Our nervous system can go into dysregulation more often than we may be aware so it’s essential for most people, but especially HSPs, to learn how to navigate outside influences, bodily sensations and thought processes in a way that’s a better fit for their temperament.
More information can be found on my website debsteigerlcsw.com or email me at debsteigerlcsw@gmail.com I look forward to working with you.
