I provide Tele-Therapy and Tele-Play Therapy Services to residents of Louisiana and residents of North Carolina* (*pending approval in N.C.). Tele-Therapy is any remote therapy that uses technology to help the therapist and client communicate.
Some examples of teletherapy include:
- doing therapy sessions over the phone
- having a group chat for group therapy
- using videoconferencing for individual, couples, or group therapy
- using apps that connect clients to therapists
With more and more individuals telecommuting, busier schedules, and the need for greater flexibility in our ever-changing world, Tele-Counseling opens up a whole new frontier. Most research suggests that Tele-Therapy can be as effective as in-person therapy. The benefits of seeking research-supported Tele-Therapy with a licensed therapist include greater access, higher satisfaction, comfort and safety of being in your own home or school/work space and more privacy.
As a Registered Play Therapist and a former school counselor, I specialize in working with highly sensitive children and I have read The Highly Sensitive Child along with The Strong Sensitive Boy by Ted Zeff.
As a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist, I specialize in working with highly sensitive adults as parents, in their careers and relationships. I have read The Highly Sensitive Parent, The Highly Sensitive Person, The Highly Sensitive Person in Love and Making Work Work for the Highly Sensitive Person by Barrie Jaeger as well as many other books and resources to understand the Highly Sensitive Person.
As a Highly Sensitive Person myself, I thrive in working with other Highly Sensitive Persons so they may reach their full potential and satisfactions in life.
