Individual Therapy, Group Therapy, Supervision, Consultation, Mentorship
My passions and specialty areas include working with eating disorders, self injury and highly sensitive people. As a counselor educator, I am passionate about helping HST’s (highly sensitive therapists) navigate the unique challenges which arise for us as we are entering the field and/or maintaining a practice. I love working with graduate students who are working towards their master’s degree in school and professional counseling and who are HSP. I am an HSP/HST. I am trained in Sandtray Therapy and have developed new ways of utilizing this through teletherapy to give clients a unique experiential experience. I offer supervision to those seeking licensure in Colorado, Minnesota (approved supervisor), and Wisconsin. I am able to consult with and/or mentor others hoping to learn more about working with someone who is an HSP.

While just about all populations intrigue me, I have a special place in my heart for highly sensitive people (HSPs), minority groups, members of the LGBTQIAP2S+ communities, artists and other creatives, and those with active spiritual lives. I have almost 40 years of experience working with folks with trauma histories, compromised self-esteem, anxiety, depression, and relationship concerns. I provide personalized therapy for adults with the needed warmth and attention to help people on their journey. I specialize in helping people who are struggling as a Highly Sensitive Person, with anxiety, and those in a life transition/change who want to create a more authentic, balanced path in life, learn more about themselves and mental health, improve their relationship with themselves and others, and heal emotional wounds. Some of the pain points I help people with include: self-views, burnout, stress, shame, emotional trauma, relationship difficulties, overwhelm, perfectionism, and grief. My approach is collaborative, so I can craft the counseling space into something helpful to you. I also do my best to really listen and get to know you, so we can navigate what you’re needing in therapy and outside of therapy, together.

I specialize in working with Highly Sensitive Women (age 20yrs+). As an HSP myself, I understand the complexities of navigating life with this special trait. I use a strengths-based approach to therapy with a healthy dose of humor.
I am passionate about helping women feel seen and heard. I let my intuition guide me in working with clients on a soul-to-soul level. I am a Certified Brainspotting Practitioner, which can be highly effective in working through trauma, managing perfectionism, and people pleasing. Some of the issues I work with are anxiety, grief & loss, life transitions, childhood emotional neglect and codependency. I also enjoy helping women navigate the challenges of dating as a highly sensitive person. Contact me for an introductory conversation to determine whether we are a fit.
