Maureen S. Boyle Cieri, M.A., LPC, NCC
I am proudly an HSP . I appreciate the amazing traits we have as highly sensitive people. I understand how these traits can both make our world feel overwhelming and amazingly bright and beautiful. I have grown up teaching myself coping skills, and have passed them on to my own HSP child and then later to HSP children in the classroom and in sessions. Finding Elaine Aron’s work helped me become a more aware person, parent, teacher and therapist. I enjoy working with other HSPs and helping them understand the perplexities of having such traits. I work from a rationally based perspective, using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, Positive Psychology, and Resiliency training. My office respects ones’ sensitives to smells, lighting, textures and personal space. I am in the mainline area, just outside of Philadelphia, and conveniently located near Wynnewood, Haverford, and Narberth.

I specialize in somatic (body-centered), mindfulness-based, experiential psychotherapy with adults who are highly sensitive. Many are, or aspire to be, artists or healers, or are in a helping profession. Also an HSP.
Lori L. Cangilla, PhD
As an HSP, I understand the unique challenges and opportunities of being sensitive in a world that isn’t. I specialize in individual therapy with highly sensitive adult women (18-64) who are looking to authentically grow as they move through:
–Loss, grief, trauma, and post-traumatic growth,
–Anxiety, depression, and body-focused repetitive behaviors (BFRBs)
–Chronic health issues and/or chronic pain,
–Fertility/pregnancy loss/pregnancy/postpartum issues,
–Major life transitions (education/career, relationships, phase of life),
–Spiritual/religious development, and
–Finding greater purpose and meaning in life.
I utilize an integrative approach that focuses on client strengths and ways to harness creativity, mindfulness, and an appreciation for nature and the arts on the path of holistic growth.

Many HSP’s and Empaths think and feel differently than their peers. This can leave them feeling like they don’t fit in or like something is wrong with them. As a fellow HSP and empath, I am passionate about supporting children with these traits and their caregivers with what they need to see these attributes as a unique set of gifts. This is one of the keys to thriving during life’s foundational years.
I have spent the last 20 years developing an intuitive and integrative approach to my work as a Clinical Social Worker, Play Therapist, and Master Life Coach. With HSP’s being over eighty percent of my practice, I have found the Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), Harmonic Vibrational Matching, Reiki, Soul Expression Art(R), and other Energy Techniques to be transformative for my clients. These are just a few of the tools I use to collaborate with you towards the shared goal of finding more peace within your life.

I am a Highly Sensitive Person myself and absolutely LOVE working with other HSPs to help them understand and appreciate the trait – and heal from trauma and wounding they have experienced as a highly sensitive person in an overstimulating and often insensitive world. I work with children, teens, and adults – and especially love working with creative people and other therapists. I am also a Certified EMDR therapist and an EMDRIA-Approved Consultant. Specialties include trauma, anxiety and working through creative blocks.
